A 10 min audio clip of expert genealogist Laura Gloag and myself discussing women’s roles and potential experiences during the mid-late 1800’s on Hebridean Islands.
In the Nigheanan nan exhibition, two galleries were utilised to present audio works. Each room featured two pieces, including a 22-minute recording of Catriona McEwan, whose family owns the Isle of Muck. In this recording, she shares her memories and knowledge of flax cultivation.
